The Serbian national water polo team is one of the most successful in the world, having won numerous major titles over the years. The team's successes include Olympic gold medals in 2016 and 2020, seven FINA World Championships (2005, 2009, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022), and nine European Championships (2001, 2003, 2006, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022).
The team is known for its strong defense, physicality, and skilled players, and is widely considered to be one of the most dominant forces in international water polo. Some of the team's top players include Filip Filipović, Andrija Prlainović, Duško Pijetlović, and Slobodan Nikić.
The Serbian water polo team is coached by Dejan Savić, a former player who has been at the helm of the team since 2013.
